Blytheswood Shoebox Appeal
In 2007 schools, churches, clubs and thousands of individuals once again donated over 140,000 filled shoeboxes to the Blythswood Care Shoebox Appeal. These gifts brought much joy to the children and adults who received them. Over the last five years Blythswood have distributed over 500,000 boxes.
The first Shoe Box Appeal was in 1993 when they delivered shoeboxes in Romania, Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, Hungary, Ukraine and Moldova. We took boxes to India for the second year running; in 2007 a total of 22,631 shoeboxes were distributed in India.
During December 2007, Danny Muschate visited homes, orphanages, projects and schools in Bulgaria, Serbia and Albania to see first hand the distribution of the shoeboxes.
Instruction leaflets will be available on the porch table soon and completed shoe boxes should be left in the Church Hall by Sunday 29th October.
The Amazing Journey will be in use in our local schools from 13th – 17th October (DV).

Tuesday 14th – Victoria P.S. Ballyhalbert
Wednesday 15th – Carrowdore P.S.
Thursday 16th – Millisle P.S.
Friday 17th – Ballywalter P.S.
